so much for that, now relax and enjoy:
Chapter 9: The abandoned dorm, part one
Just when Alan entered the Osiris dorm at this night, another person was still outside and waited for a special guest. The person was Professor Chronos, the dorm-leader of Obelisk and the instructor for card knowledge in Alan’s class.
He was standing near the port of the Academy and looked around nervously, he just hoped that no one was near, that could see him. Even though his intentions were absolutely pure, they were not completely legal. But he would do anything to get rid of this dropout boy.
Directly after the lessons he had searched the net for information about the shadow duellist and finally found a cell number and could get contact to the mercenary. His name was Titan. It only took some minutes and well...some yen to persuade him to come.
Chronos smiled at the moon and looked forward to the time when Yuki Judai would have to leave the Academy in shame.
While he was in his thoughts he almost didn’t notice the black paraglide that flew above his head. It was shaped like a gigantic bat and could really creep you out when your not ready.
“Mamma mia...”, Chronos whispered and watched the glider landing directly in front of him.
The person that landed with the frightening thing freed itself from the belts and walked at Chronos with a grim look upon his face.
“Chronos de Mediz?”, asked the dark duellist with an voice colder then ice. He was very tall, at least 190 cm, and wore a black coat with a deck holder attached to the chest. His face was covered by a grey and black mask and he wore a black hat additionally.
His left arm was almost completely covered by a metallic gauntlet that would most likely be his duel disc.
“That would be me...”, answered Chronos and tried to seem self-confident.
“What is the name of my prey?”
>He comes to the point quickly...good...<, thought the thin professor and smiled demonically.
“Yuki Judai, I want you to crush his spirit and make him leave my Academy.”
“That’ll be easy, consider it done.”
But Yuki should not be the only one who would have to fight a terrible demon soon.
When Alan entered the room number 19 in the Red dorm he could barely escape a deadly pillow attack of a certain dirty-blonde girl.
The girl, who was Toni of course, already wore her Kuriboh pyjamas and had another pillow in her hand. She was standing in the middle of the room. “I was waiting for you...”, she said with burning eyes.
“What’s the meaning of this?”, Alan asked annoyed while he took the pillow from the ground.
“She wants to “talk” with you about your behaviour in the dinning room...you should run...”, Ben said silently with a scarred tone. One gaze from Toni made him hide under his blanket.
“Sit down!!”, Toni shouted and pointed at her bed. Alan looked in her eyes and sighed.
“Not now...have to much stuff in mind...”, said the blonde boy and just passed the girl without even caring for her angry face. He just laid down on his own bed, crossed his arms behind his head and closed his eyes.
Toni stood there with a pale face, even though her anger wasn’t gone completely there was another much more intense feeling in her chest right now. Her eyes only met his for the blink of a second, but that was enough. She had seen what was behind this cold and rudeness of him: A terrible sorrow. Somehow she felt sorry for him, what was he hiding? Maybe when she knew about his secret she could understand him better, but...forcing him to tell her wouldn’t help.
“...I see...alright then just remember this: We are roommates after all, if you got a problem and want to talk about it, I am here for you.”
Alan opened one of his eyes and looked at the girl with the cute Hane Kuriboh pyjama. “...you done now...?”, he asked as cold as he could.
“I am...you too?”, she said and walked slowly to her bed without exploding, like both of the boys thought.
>>> “Have you understood, boy? Have you understood what will happen and what your role will be?”, said the dark person with glowing eyes. And the small blonde boy could just stand there and tried to stop shivering. It was very cold in that place and everything was dark.
“Hai, sensei.”
The dark person smiled demonically.<<<
Alan ripped his eyes open and starred at the ceiling of room 19 again. The dream was exactly like the one before. Everything was dark around him and he couldn’t see the face of the person he always called “master”. It seemed likely that this master send him on a mission after training him, but because of some very odd reason he couldn’t remember it.
His hand reached for the watch, that was lying on his small desk. It was just six AM, he had the choice to try sleeping for another hour or he could get up and do something else.
Well, considering his dreams in the last nights sleeping just didn’t sound too good, so he snug out of his bed and into his clothes. Being alone a couple of minutes wouldn’t be bad.
On his way to the door he stopped at Toni’ s bed and looked at her a few seconds, she seemed so peaceful when asleep.
>...stupid girl...should mind her own business...<
She mumbled something and moved in her bed, he just hoped that she wouldn’t wake up now. God knows what she would think of him when she would open her eyes now. He turned away and went silently like a cat to the door.
It wasn’t pitch black anymore, the sun was lurking behind the horizon and send some beams of light already. Alan walked down the stairs and towards the high cliffs, he stood so near at the edge that the tips of his sneakers were hanging in the air. He would just have to take one step further and all his problems were gone. The cliffs were at least fifty meters high, jumping down meant death.
He smiled a bit at his thoughts. Suicide was the way of weaklings who didn’t have the strength to live on and he absolutely was no weakling, or so he thought.
“ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY NUTS!!!?”, shouted a familiar voice behind him and he almost lost his balance at the edge. A hand grabbed him at the back of his shirt and pulled him back, he landed in the grass halve a meter away from the cliff.
Alan rolled his eyes and turned around to see exactly what he thought to see. Toni was lying directly behind him with a scary mixture of anger and fear in her face.
“You idiot!!!”, she shouted and grabbed him at his collar. “Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
Toni must have been hearing him when he left and, as he thought before, couldn’t mind her own business. She still wore her pyjama, which was know wet and dirty from the meadow she was sitting in.
“What if...?”, he asked back and got his answer quicker then he would have thought. Her strong fist hit him in his face and brought him flat down to the ground.
He stared at her surprised and then he saw something even more surprising then her impressive arm strength. Her eyes were totally wet, she seemed to try to hold back her tears with force and sniffed.
“...you stupid ...idiot...”, she sobbed.
This was the first time he saw her showing other emotions then anger and rage, and it came to his mind that she might have had a secret herself, something that had happened in her past.
“I never intended to...”, he said and stood up.
“...What...?”
“I never thought of killing myself...”, he continued and loosened the knot in the sleeves of his Osiris jacket.
“You didn’t?...”, she sobbed again and as she began to understand his words she turned as red as Alan‘s jacket, which was at this moment falling down on her shoulders.
“I didn’t... but...you will kill yourself if you stay outside like this.”, he said and pulled her up form the wet grass. She didn’t even notice the cold up until now, but the shivering started immediately and she covered herself with the thick stuff of Alan’s jacket.
Alan was already at the stairs and turned around. “Will ya come already?”, he said and turned to the stairs again. His cheek was turning deep red. The pain was quite admirable and somehow he had to smile a little.
>...maybe I could get to like her...maybe<, he thought and walked up the stairs.
“Wait for me then!!”, the girl shouted and ran after him.
“Oh...damn...this is a joke right?”, asked Ben while he stared at a poster that was hanging out in his classroom that morning. He hadn’t even noticed the little drama with Toni and Alan and just slept until seven. His two roommates had been getting dressed already when he woke up and were sitting on their beds reading something. Well, for Alan being awake at this time wasn’t new, but Toni always had trouble getting up early. He wondered what might have happened with them, but couldn’t find the courage to ask. It could have been something private.
Anyway after getting up they had been going to class together and now he was standing at one of the walls of classroom 419 with Toni and at least ten other students of Ra and Obelisk.
The poster had the title: EXAM.
Ben swallowed hardly and read the short text again. “Once a month the practical exam will decide about your status in the Duel Academy. You will have to duel one opponent from your own dorm and if you can succeed you can take your chance in duelling an opponent from the higher dorms. So prepare well.” Yes, this just had to be a joke. If it would be real it would mean that you could be expelled when losing. And the worst thing was that the first exam would be the day after tomorrow.
“No this is real...”, said Toni with a worried look at him. “...we are in trouble right?”
Ben nodded. They both looked down to Alan, who was sitting on his place already without even caring for the announcement on the wall. “What about him? Have you seen his duel in the exam?”, Ben asked while they were walking to their places. “No, I was a bit late and didn’t have time to watch other duels. And he hasn’t duelled since we are here either, I don’t even know his deck-theme...”
“Yeah right, but he didn’t seem to be concerned because of the exam. You think that he is that strong?”
Toni grinned: “Nah...he’s just an idiot...”.
The lessons went on the same slow way they did every day and finally after their last lesson with Chronos they were released to their dorms. Alan walked calmly as nothing had happened, he seemed not to think of the events this morning. Toni on the other hand couldn’t forget about this terrible moment when she opened the door of their room and saw him standing directly at the edge of the cliff.
She was walking directly behind the cold idiot and felt so down. First this bizarre event before dawn and now this exam...could this day get worse?
She didn't know.
But the one thing that she really didn’t know was that this day wasn’t over at all and it actually could get even worse then she could ever imagine.
Chapter 10: The abandoned dorm, part two
Asuka Tenjoin had made her decision. She would never give up on her brother and would find him at any means necessary, even if it meant to break the rules of the Academy and get expelled for that.
The abandoned dorm was the only hint she had at her brother, but the entrance was strictly forbidden for all students. Anyway she had to go and look if there were any traces, it could be dangerous but she was prepared for everything.
>Oh Fubuki...you better be in there anywhere...<, she thought and sneaked out of her bed. She had kept her uniform on and just pretended to be asleep when the dorm leader looked around.
It was always the same routine. At ten PM, the red haired women went through all the rooms and looked if everyone was there and if there was anyone not belonging here, boys especially.
There were a few couples at the Academy, but up until now Asuka had not heard of any “incidents” at night. Sometimes Momoe and Junko had told her stories about couples in the forest, not that she were interested in it, Momoe and Junko just loved to spread rumours.
It was now half past ten, the teacher was long gone to bed, as Asuka found out when sneaking outside the night before. Now was the time to leave.
She put her boots on, grabbed the flashlight, that she stored in one of her desks and went to the door slowly, listening to every sound.
Her heart was pounding from the adrenaline and her senses were sharp as never before, she couldn’t know that all her senses wouldn’t help her at all.
Approximately one and half hour later:
For Alan and his two roommates the day had been quiet, after all there wasn’t much you could do in your free time, so most of the students improved their duelling skills with each other.
After classes the inhabitants of room 19 ate lunch and spend their day in the room. Toni and Alan didn’t talk more then absolutely necessary, but somehow their relationship had changed. At least that was what Ben thought.
Alan had been waiting for them to finish lunch and he didn’t show her the cold shoulder anymore, meaning he didn’t call her pathetic or looking at her with this terrible cold eyes. Well, considering Ben his behaviour hadn’t changed that much. They were far away from being friends, he could consider himself lucky when he ever got him to say something to him.
Now after eating dinner, which consisted of rice and salmon, they had been going to their room, because Toni insisted to work on her deck for the exam.
“And you really think this combo will work?”, Toni raised one eyebrow and took the two cards that Ben handed her. It were “Bad Reaction to Simonchi” (Trap/ Continous/ As long as this card remains face-up on the field, when your opponents Life Points would be increased by a card effect, negate that effect and do damage to your opponent equal to the amount of Life Points gained.) and “Burning Algae” (Fire/Pyro/3/500/1500/ When this card is send to the graveyard increase your opponents Life Points by 1000)
“Sure, If you play them together you can do a 1000 damage easily.”, Ben said and smiled brightly. He had his PDA lying next to him and searched his database for good fire and pyro cards. Toni had her cards and deck spread on the floor and looked through it. Alan was lying on his bed a usual and was reading in another card magazine.
“That’s stupid...this combo would ruin her deck...”, he said without taking his eyes from the magazine. “...What? It is just a perfect way to protect her life points with a monster and do damage directly. What would ruin her deck in this?”, Ben asked with a very little tone of annoyance in his voice.
“....you ever heard the word deathdraw?...”, Alan asked back still looking at his magazine, “If she would only have one of these card in her hand it’ll be useless, or in case of burning algae it would even help the opponents ...that’ s what...”
Ben looked to the ground a bit depressed, he had failed again, Alan was absolutely right.
“Don’t listen to him...at least YOU were so friendly to help me when OTHER people had something better to do...”, Toni said comforting and send a sharp view at Alan.
“Maybe, but he is right anyway... lemme search my data again...”, he grabbed his PDA and hit some buttons when the door was suddenly ripped open.
“Alan!! Ben!! Toni!!”, shouted a familiar voice and Alan shrugged in precognisance. Yuki was standing in the door with Marufuji Sho and a guy looking like a koala.
“Hey guys, couldn’t you knock at least? I could have been undressed!!”, Toni said sharply at Judai.
“Gee, sorry. We just are so excited”, Yuki was smiling brightly, and now the three inhabitants of room 19 saw the flashlight in his hand.
“What are you doing?”, asked Ben with a uneasy feeling in his stomach, Marufuji had the same look upon his face.
“Daitokuji just told us a real scary ghost-story about disappearing students in an old dorm in the forest, so we thought to check it out. You guys coming along?”
>...disappearing students...old dorm...this must be what Asuka told me...it might have some connection to the “yami no game”<, Alan thought and closed his magazine. “I’ll come with ya”, he said and put his osiris jacket around his waist with a knot in the front.
“Sounds somehow interesting...I can build my deck sometime else”, Toni said and stood up from the ground. It surely sounded exciting, but she was much more interested in Alans reason for coming along, he normally wasn’t interested in something like that.
Ben stood up too and slid his PDA into his pocket. He wasn’t happy about this nightly walk, but staying here would be what his older self had done. He wanted to change and this might be one way.
“Great then it’s decided!!”, Judai shouted and made his typical winning pose.
The building called abandoned dorm was a rotten version of the Ra Yellow dorm, it had many windows, which were mostly destroyed and dirty. The walls were black and covered by moss and ivy, it was really a scary looking object, especially at night.
Asuka just left the forest behind herself and stood at the same place that she had stood last night and left the rose for Fubuki. It was gone.
Her flashlight could just shine on the empty and muddy ground, there was no mistaking it, someone had been taking the rose away.
“...Fubuki...?”, she whispered and took one step forward through the rusty gate of the dorm.
No Answer. Of course there was none, most likely the rose was taken away by the wind or an animal.
Her courage sank a bit, but there was no going back now, she just had to proceed.
Not far away from her stood a dark person with a blood red rose in his hand. “You will be quite useful...”, said the person and squashed the rose in his hand.
The forest inhabited at least two thirds of the island and was totally natural, there were only very few ways leading through it. Judai was walking at the front of the group with an excited smile on his face. He really seemed not to worry about anything.
Alan walked behind him with his hands in the jeans pockets, he liked the darkness of the night, the flashlight was more annoying then useful.
“And your sure that you know the way, Yuki?”, asked Toni unsure. She wasn’t even sure if she could find her way back to the dorm now.
“Ah...sure we’ll just have to follow this pass until we will reach the big oak, then we turn left until we find the stone with the moss on, then the dorm should be directly in front of us.” He smiled brightly.
“Uhm...Yuki...you know this is a goddamn oak forest, there are a thousands of oak trees here!! And there are at least one hundred stones with moss on them!!”, Toni shouted in despair.
“Hmm...your right, that’ll be a problem.”, Judai answered and kept his smile on.
Toni slapped him on the back of his head.
“This is terrible, we’ll die outside here, we’ll starve to death and die, I just know it!!”, she cried desperate.
Alan just walked on and then stopped at something really wired. “...guys...come here...”, he said as calm as ever and made Toni stop her pathetic triad of fear.
He stood at one of the oak trees and looked at a small piece of paper, that couldn’t have been hanging here for long. It was still white and the nail that hold it in the tree had no stain on it. The symbol on it was as easy as it was scary: An red arrow pointing to the left, the lines were in such a deep red that it could only be one thing.
“This is just colour right?”, asked Marufuji and turned pale.
Alan slit over the lines with his index finger, the red “colour” spread under his finger and left a red finger print on the paper. “Nah....blood...someone has been waiting for us.”
Toni eyes opened wide: “Blood? What is happening here? We are not in a horror movie right?”
“Who knows, let’s just go on!!”, Judai said and followed the direction that the arrow pointed to. “Oh this guy’s terrible...”, Toni sighed and went after him.
No one noticed the dark person that was standing behind another tree, smiling like a demon.
The shadow duellist called Titan waited for the six kids to be far enough away and walked on the shortcut, that he had planed for himself to get to the dark building, that he liked so much.
It had been love on first sight, this old house was the absolutely perfect place to break Yuki Judai’ s spirit. It was quite unfortunate that he had so many friends with him, but that wouldn’t help him.
Plus he had the perfect bait in his hand. He had observed Judai the last day and saw that he and the girl had become friends. It would be pretty easy to drag him into a duel with her life on the line and she was already tied and bound at his duel-ground.
He touched the millennium puzzle in his coat pocket and couldn’t wait to use it against this poor guy. He always enjoyed to crush duellists with such a spirit and earning some Yen with it was even better.
Laughing gruesome he quickly reached the abandoned dorm, the little group of Yuki Judai would need another few minutes, he had hung arrows on several trees, all written with the blood of the girl. These arrows would bring them to the house in the end, but they were pointing to a much longer way.
Now he would only have to wait for his prey to arrive.
It took the group another ten minutes to reach the old and scary looking house that was called the abandoned dorm. The papers with the arrows had lead them directly here, it was now certain that someone wanted them to come exactly here. But why?
Toni got goose bumps just by looking at this building, it was so terrible cold and dark around here, even the moonlight seemed to help nothing.
“Are we really going in there?”, she asked shivering.
“’Course we are, someone wanted us here so we will at least say hi.”, Judai answered and walked through the destroyed gate.
“...move already...,” Alan said to Toni and followed Judai. This whole story turned out to get more and more interesting, first this blood signs and now a very strong aura of evil. He couldn’t remember when, but he had felt such an aura before, but that time it was a hundred times stronger.
“Alright...but let’s be careful, okay?”, the girl said and followed them.
The other three guys, especially Ben and Sho, were even more scared then Toni, they were pale as snow. They just couldn’t move.
Hayato, the koala-guy, saw how Judai and Alan stood in front of the big wooden door to the dorm and had a terrible feeling inside his stomach.
“Hey guys are you going to wait here?”, asked Judai and pulled the door open.
Waiting outside ins this dark forest? The alternative wasn’t that great too, but being outside while a crazy guy was running around here made them feel even worse.
“No no...w-we are comin’...”, said Ben with a shivering voice and walked towards the others.
Well, for ghost-houses there has always been one important rule. The scarier they look from the outside the even scarier they are on the inside.
Toni just learned about this rule on a very personal way and wished to be in her bed now.
The dorm consisted of sheer endless rooms and paths, all over the place there were spiderwebs and so much dirt that the whole place looked like after a bomb explosion. The walls were partly cracked and the wooden floor was making a terrible noise with every step.
>Yeah, that is exactly what a ghost house should look like.<, Toni thought and felt more and more uncomfortable. Even Stephen King wouldn’t be able to think of a more terrorising surrounding.
“Another sign...”, Alan said and pointed to an arrow on the wall, this time made by chalk.
He didn’t like how they were lead to where some ill guy wanted them, but it could have something to do with his past, thus he had to proceed.
Suddenly something caught his eye, a big slate that was filling at least three meters of the left wall. “What is this?”, asked Marufuji and looked at the weird symbols on the slate.
“This is Egyptian language, and these things are the Millennium Items, didn’t you know that the king of games had to do something with this items. However they are said to have perished ten years ago.”, said Ben and flipped the monitor of his PDA open. “There are seven of them, Millenium Puzzle, Rod, Tauk, Ring, Eye, Scale and Key. They seemed to posses magical shadow power, but that is only a rumour.”, he read from an Internet page.
“Yeah...right “magical shadow power”...as if something like that exists...”, Marufuji mumbled.
“You wouldn’t believe, what weird things there are in this world....”, Alan said and took a closer look at the slate. The stone had a soft yellow colour like sand, the seven items were displayed in a circle with the Millenium Puzzle in the centre.
A picture flashed through his mind, the dark person that he just knew as “master” was looking at him as something golden started to shine in his hand. The picture was gone as fast as it came, but he was sure that the shining golden thing was one of this items, although he couldn’t recognise it. After all it had already paid off to come here.
“Alan?”, suddenly he was back in the old dorm, and a pair of green eyes looked at him. Toni.
“You look so...concerned, that sure is unusual for you. But don’t worry we all are scared.”
Alan looked at her and raised one eyebrow while her words sank into his mind.
“...I’m not scared...have been in thoughts...”, he said rudely and turned away from the girl.
“Yeah...that fits much better...”, Toni mumbled silently and shook her head.
The kids were coming.
Titan could hear them sneaking through his house of terror, he could have planted some traps for them easily, but that would make his job far too easy. His opponent would just be a kid, a boy of fifteen years. Such an easy job, didn’t demand on using such methods. The only problem was to get his prey to except his challenge. Many duellists have been trying to run away when they saw him. That was quite annoying, so he started to work by using a suitable bait, mostly he took someone from the family, children have always been effective. Threatening their life worked out just fine to drag someone into a duel.
He glared at his momentary bait. The girl was lying in an old black coffin that he found in here, unconscious, like a little doll. She was quite cute, would be a waste to forfeit her soul to the shadow realm, but a job was a job after all. Even though this fool Chronos only paid him for the destruction of Yuki Judai, having some fun wouldn’t be a bad thing.
The girl’s finger was still bleeding a bit from the small cut, that he had done to write his arrows, but other then this she was in best condition. Up until now, that was.
The sounds grew louder and he could almost feel their fear after they had been running through this dark mansion. They would be shivering and crying by now, begging him to let them go.
He smiled at this thought.
Only a few seconds later the moment that he had been waiting for had come. The door to his pandemonium was opened and his prey came in.
After the group had followed the signs through the whole mansion they were finally lead here, a big wooden door with another Egyptian symbol on it, an eye that also was on each millennium item. Alan knelled down and laid one finger on the ground. There were a few small drops of a red liquid. “... more blood...he is here...”
Yuki pressed against the wall and it opened with a loud shrieking noise, the group stepped in carefully.
A big room opened in front of them, it must have been the duelling arena for this dorm, but now it was as rotten as the rest of the house.
Alan immediately noticed the tall guy standing in one of the shadows, he was smiling diabolically . “Who are you?...”, he said sharply and used his coldest view at the masked man. The others were looking at him silently with a uncomfortable look upon their faces, except Judai who looked at the dark guy seriously. It was quite a surprising sight to see him without a smile.
The dark person opened his mouth and spoke with a voice sharp as a knife and cold as ice.
“Yuki Judai, I am Titan, the ultimate yami no duellist. I challenge you to a duel.”
Alan’s blue eyes narrowed, as he listened to him.
“If you win, you can go...”, with this words of the yami no duellist the door behind the six students closed hardly and was locked automatically.
“..., but if you should lose, this girl and all of you will have to give your soul to the shadows.”
The guy called Titan pointed to a black coffin at one of the walls and Judai gasped at what he saw. “Asuka? What have you done to her?”, Judai shouted, his mostly friendly face had became a mask of anger. Asuka had become a good friend after he had duelled her at night, he would protect her no matter what.
Alan recognised the girl from the lighthouse and felt something that could have been rage at this guy, but there was another thing that he wanted this guy to pay for, already.
“Nothing... for now, but if you’ll lose...”, Titan said and licked his upper lip.
Judai took a duel disc from his backpack:
“Alright then I will make you pay...!!”
He wanted to attach the duel disc to his arm, but suddenly a hand grabbed it and snatched it from him.
“Nani...?” Judai turned to the person, who took his disc and gasped.
Alan glared back at him silently and attached the duel disc to his arm. “Step aside...this guy’s mine!”
“Hey, wait are you sure...?”, Judai was not really surprised, but since Asuka’ s and all their lives were on stake, he’d rather taken the challenge himself.
“I said: this guy is mine!”, Alan said sharp and activated the disc.
“Hey are you stupid? Let Yuki do it, he beat Professor Chronos, so he surely is better then you...are you trying to get us killed!!”, Toni said and grabbed Alan’ s shoulder.
“Shut up...” he said and shook her off.
“Idiot!!” Toni exclaimed very pissed and frightened. When this idiot couldn’t do it everything was over, she would never fulfil her dream.
Alan stepped into the arena meanwhile and opened the deckbox at his belt like a cowboy his holster. Titan just looked at him with a bored face.
“You are not my prey, I want Yuki Judai.”
“Still you will fight me now...”
“And why would I waste my time with you...”
“You call yourself a shadow duellist, right?”, Alan said in a somehow provoking tone.
“Of course...I am Titan, the ultimate shadow duellist...and still not interested.”, the dark guy said.
Alan suddenly laughed loudly, something that none of the osiris students never heard before. But it wasn’t a happy or friendly laugh, it was pure disrespect, he really stood there and laughed at this terrible guy who would kill them and this girl without hesitation.
Toni sure hoped that he knew what he was doing.
>Of course he does not... he is playing with our lives.<
“A shadow duellist? You? Don’t make me laugh...”, the blonde boy said with a scary smile and glared at the guy with his cold eyes.
“Damn brat, alright...you got me, I’ll bring you down first. And after my victory, I will take all your souls and offer it to the shadows.”, Titan said and pressed a button on his metal gauntlet, that activated his duel coat and made a big batwing enfold from the gauntlet. The spaces between the bone-like structures of the wing had small squares on it, which were supposed to be used as monster zones. The spell and trap zones were on the narrow side of the wing.
This thing looked really frightening to Toni but Alan didn’t even seem to care.
“Fine...whatever...”, Alan said, took his deck from the deckbox at his belt and inserted it into the deck-holder of his disc.
The two duellists stared at each other and narrowed their eyes, well...Alan did...Titans eyes were still covered by his mask, but it was very likely that he did, too.
“Duel!!”

Preview: The duel between Alan and Titan starts. Titan seems to have the advantage in using his Archfiend deck to prevent Alans targetting effekts. Additionally the fieldspell Pandemonium keeps him from paying LP for his Archfiends.
Every thing seemed to be over when Skull Archfiend of Lightning is summoned, but...
So be there and stay tuned^^

Chapter 9: The abandoned dorm, part one

He was standing near the port of the Academy and looked around nervously, he just hoped that no one was near, that could see him. Even though his intentions were absolutely pure, they were not completely legal. But he would do anything to get rid of this dropout boy.

“Duel!!”
